So 2016 has started. I wont lie, I’m feeling a bit slow getting into it, so to ease me back into, you know, doing stuff that doesn’t involve lying on the couch, eating or reading a book I thought I’d share with you the top posts from the blog for 2015.
At number five – The wonderful contradictions of parenthood I still stand by all of these however I might also had another wonderful contradiction that I have the delight of dealing with at the moment, the ‘so tired they can’t go to sleep’ conundrum *sigh*
Number four – Maternity Leave – can you afford it, the sad fact of the matter is, in two income households, losing one income while that person is on parental leave is tough and it’s one of the things that ensured that this mother returned to work after 8 months at home with the munchkin.
Advice I would give my younger self about money came in at number three, still wish I could go back in time and give the younger me a shaking, life would potentially be so much better now.
Number two was 5 baby items I would not buy again. Ah the things we get sucked into buying the first time round, the must have baby accessories, and do not get me started on the latest invention the Babypod (internal speakers for unborn babies, not the delightful Baby Pods that help sleep baby safetly), there is just no need for that!
And taking out number one spot….5 baby items I couldn’t live without, while many of them I no longer use (thank goodness, 3 years of using a breast pump would just be too much!), they’re all definitely still on my list for number two.
Just to show you how into this year I am, here is a super cute baby photo (of a baby completely unknown to myself). Play your cards right and you might even get a cat photo next week 😉
Hope 2016 is treating you well!
